Against the background of Russian-Ukrainian processes, the world of tattooing is witnessing an increase in the prevalence of tattoos with Ukrainian symbols. Nowadays, you can often see temporary tattoos with the words “Save Ukraine”, which are done not only by Ukrainians, but also by representatives of other nations as a manifestation of humanity.
First, it is Ukrainian tattoo artists who talk about the fact that tattoos containing Ukrainian symbols are in great demand. People get these tattoos as a sign of patriotism. The Ukrainian flag has become the most popular theme in tattoo parlours. Tattoos of the coat of arms and military vehicles have also become widespread.
The spread of tattoos on this theme has expanded beyond the border of Ukraine and reached many other countries of the world in support of the Ukrainian people.
As a rule, in any tense situation, the representatives of art come out with humanitarian appeals and actions. The art of tattooing is also a participant in all of that, supporting the common people who are in a difficult situation.
A number of tattoo artists and tattoo parlours are running various activities to promote solidarity. Let’s mention some of them:
Levgen is a tattoo artist who lives in New York, but was born in Kupiansk, Ukraine. He is a dentist by profession, but he has been painting tattoos for 14 years. Related to the current situation, he made an interesting suggestion. He is going to conduct a 5-hour online workshop on the topic of realistic skull tattooing, from which he will donate all the profits to Ukrainian families.
